PhD Research Scholarship
Call for application is closed.
The aim of the ATSAF Academy PhD Research Scholarship is to involve PhD students that are enrolled at German universities in CGIAR++ research projects and in this way strengthen the links between German universities and international, development-oriented agricultural research.
In order to be eligible for support, the PhD student must be hosted by a CGIAR++ Center, attached to an ongoing CGIAR++ research activity, best in form of an international, multidisciplinary project, and jointly supervised by a CGIAR++ senior scientist and a Professor from a German university. The envisaged PhD project must be complementary and provide an added value to the ongoing CGIAR++research activity.
Students must enroll into a PhD study program at a German University but do not need to be German nationals. Applicants from CGIAR++ partner countries are welcome and we particularly encourage female students to apply.
The ATSAF Academy offers a scientific support program for its PhD scholars in the form of courses and seminars, which are recognized in the respective universities for the structured PhD programs.
